Sushi

It depends on the person, but I truly like sushi. It is so GOOD! it tastes so fresh and clean. I feel healthier when I eat it. I like the varieties you can get at a sushi bar. I even dabble in the sashimi line as well. It’s good food. Maybe you read this and look at the picture and think, “Nah, uh. No way do I want to eat that stuff.” It all depends on the persons taste.

What does it really mean when we say something tastes good or is good? We are usually expressing a matter of opinion. We sing a chorus sometimes and the words of the first line are “God is so good.” Really? Is that just a matter of taste or preference? The fact is that every particle of God is good. There is nothing bad in Him. Regardless of what people think, He is good. Some may object, “How could He be GOOD when there are people dying from cancer?” I would say that He is good because He has given us a promise of heaven one day if we trust in Jesus Christ. The fact that people are dying is our fault of rejecting Him in the beginning, but He didn’t say phooey on you. No, Jesus died on the cross for you and for me. That is a good God.
Let’s look at our lives. Goodness is a fruit of the Spirit. Is your goodness a matter of taste for different people? I mean, are you only good to your friends, or when Pastor Dan is around, or when you want something from your parents? Are you only good when it benefits you? That is the case for all of us many times. Remember that God is good all the time. His goodness gives you live, breath, and heaven. His goodness ensures to supply every need you might have. Here in America He even goes beyond supplying every need. God is truly good in every part of who He is whether people like Him for it or not. Christian teenager, are you good in every particle of who you are whether you benefit or not? The fruit of the Spirit says we should be. Ask the Lord to help you to show fruit of goodness in your life today.
